OK, first let’s go over what I don’t like about the Invicta Men’s Pro Diver Collection Automatic Watch (model #8926).
Older models in this Invicta line came with “coin edge” detailing on the bezel, a la the Rolex Submariner. Not so with this watch. Due to legal threats, Invicta chose to switch to the scalloped style bezel that’s popular with Omega watches. While some might prefer this style, it does make turning the bezel a bit more difficult.
Also, it isn’t the most accurate watch in the world. This may have something to do with the fact that this is an auto winding model. Whatever the reason, some (but not all) owners frequently gain or lose time every week.
Now that that’s out of the way, let me tell you why I still think this is a great diver.
First, the price. Invicta has always been competitive with pricing, but the price point for this watch (especially considering the functionality) is pretty impressive.
The 8926 has water resistance up to 660 feet (200 meters). You can also expect the traditional fold-over clasp with safety you find in real diver watches.
The case is a shock resistant stainless steel, specifically crafted to withstand “hard” blows. The mineral dial window is also durable, made to be anti-reflective and scratch resistant. Unlike sapphire windows that tend to shatter from a hard blow, this window won’t shatter or crack.
And it looks great too. The dial is black and is a great backdrop for the Trinite luminous hands and markers. The steel/black combo never gets old in my book. Also, there is a date display at the 3 o’clock marker which has the classic “Cyclops” magnifying window.
The weight of this watch is especially unexpected at the price point. The watch feels substantial and “meaty” – removing any inkling of a doubt that this is a man’s time piece. And the width is a perfect compromise between the behemoth divers and an elegant quartz watch.
So, my verdict: if you need a watch for actual diving, where every second is important then this isn’t the watch for you. Otherwise, if you want an affordable luxury watch that looks and feels great you’ll be hard pressed to beat the price of the 8926.

If you’re looking for a high quality copy of the Rolex Submariner, this is a very good value. This watch was as advertised, solid, good looking, and so far, accurate. The heft takes a little getting use to. I’m a little annoyed by the need to wind this watch. Also, I tend to inadvertently reset the date while winding it. The negatives are common to this type of watch, so it’s not really a criticism. Overall, very pleased.
I had done a lot of research before settling on this watch. I read all the reviews and they do not do this watch justice. The look, quality, and weight of this watch completely exceeded my expectations. Whether your are buying this watch for a gift or personal use, you will not be disappointed. Several friends and family could not believe what I paid for it. In case you can’t tell I am very satisfied.
